One Course. 25 Years

It was our 25th Anniversary party last Saturday 24th September 2016 and wow was it a celebration. Over 100 members took part in the golf competition which was a mix of male and female members competing in teams of 4 with the best 2 nett scores to count.

The winning team consisted of Ryan Glenister, Jenny Kerridge, Martyne Garbett & Matt Jones who scored 94 points off 90% handicaps. They all received a club shirt with our 25th Anniversary logo embroidered on it.

The rest of the prizes were as follows:

• Putting Competition – Neville Bridges, John Ashman & Heather Williams
• Nearest the Pin (5th Hole) – Marvyn Hill
• Nearest the Pin in 2 Ladies (16th Hole) – Selina Bailey
• Nearest the Pin in 3 Men (18th Hole) – Marc Parkes

After golf there was a delicious buffet accompanied by light entertainment for all to enjoy, whilst the prizes were presented to all the winners. Prize presentations were followed by speeches from Managing Director, Rob Dowty, General Manager, Graham Glenister & Chairman, Andrew Mawby who spoke glowingly about the golf club and what it had achieved over 25 years.

We would like to thank all the members of Ombersley, those who could and could not attend on Saturday, for making it one of the best environments in golf to enjoy playing.
