Since opening for play in 1991 we’ve sought to make Ombersley a welcoming and friendly environment where ladies can relax and enjoy social and competitive golf. The success of the ladies golf section has excelled all expectations and we now have one of the largest in the County.
Beginners and also more experienced lady golfers who are new to Ombersley Golf Club find it easy to integrate into this busy and welcoming section. Existing lady members are always keen to help you.
The staff at Ombersley are here specifically to assist you with every aspect of your game, including helping you find a playing partner, or any other golfing needs and questions that you have.
Whether you’re seeking to play social or competitive golf, 9 or 18 holes, ladies golf or mixed formats you will find that we have plenty here for you.

Ladies golf programme
There’s so much going on at Ombersley, you’ll wonder how you used to fill your time! The following events are regular ladies features – but you’ll need keep your eye on the events calendar or notice board if you don’t want to miss out!
Monday Mornings start at 10.30am
All ladies welcome with or without a handicap to play either 9 or 18 holes of social golf.
Tuesday Evenings (April – October)
Ladies are welcome to join us on 3 evenings each month during the Spring & Summer months to play 9 holes of purely social golf – so there is no pressure! On the last Tuesday of the month there is a 9 hole fun competition followed by a meal – a great opportunity to come and meet up with other golfers.
Thursday Mornings start at 9.04am. Qualifying competitions, medals and sponsored trophy events are played on Thursdays. An active handicap is required to enter. On some Thursdays fun competitions are also organised.
Weekends
All Thursday medals and trophy competitions are also played at weekends.
