The recent rain has been very welcome; the fairways and rough are starting to green up again!

Investment never stops at Ombersley. The drainage problem in the left hand corner of the 7th green surround has been dealt with since the Bank Holiday. A drain has been extended from the gravel drainage carpets into the main drain network. Considering this corner of the surround doesn’t receive a lot of foot traffic the sub surface was rock hard to dig through. It shows what this continual dry spell has done to the sub surfaces! No more spongy ground to walk over!

Today a sprinkler has been replaced and a new sprinkler added onto the front of the 16th tee. The front of the 16th tee hasn’t been receiving enough irrigation so the problem is now solved by adding a new sprinkler.
