Course work continues at pace despite the incredibly dry conditions. In this hot weather, Andrew Halfpenny and his team have been working hard to keep the greens and tees in the best condition that they can. Hasten to say there has been a lot of irrigating taking place with a lot of hand watering during the day.

WE have had bursts to the irrigation main pipework which has had to be fixed as a matter of urgency. This has been by the 10th green and to the right of the 12th fairway.

Since the last update the work between the 5th green and 6th tee is finished, apart from the reseeding etc later in the year. Extra sprinklers have been added here to help bring back a heavy wear area to life.

The front of the 7th green is incredibly dry so a new sprinkler has been added here.

Work has been taking place to the side of the 1st green. again adding extra sprinklers to the right hand side by the crossing gate. At the same time we have improved the drain at the 1st green crossing gate with a bigger silt trap and new drain which goes off behind the 1st green in the hedge.
