The New Year has started very quickly here at Ombersley. Our shed extension has  rapidly taken shape  through the first week of 2024.

All the side cladding is now on the walls. The roof is on. On Tuesday the roller shutter door was fitted. During the week our electrician is here installing the lights, sockets and power supply to the shutter door.

The mezzanine floor is up inside and the floor boards are being laid this week.

At the top of the car park the brick flower bed is being extended so that it runs along side the new shed. In the spring can be planted up to provide some screening from the car park.

Hopefully, if the weather doesn’t go any colder the concrete floor will be being laid next week.

Very quickly after that the area will start to look less like a building site, because we will be able to tidy up the car park, renew the path that the buggies use by the 1st tee. The greenkeeper’s yard is going to be extended, so there will be more soil to remove.

Once the new part of the shed is complete, work will start on refurbing the existing office and rest room areas.

As you all know in 2023 we have invested quite heavily in all the new machinery, so this extra shed space will go along way to store it all.
