We thought that we would an update about the recent greens maintenance that has taken place. The greens have recently been tined with shallow holes being made. This has then enabled a product called Nutrizorb to be applied along with a bent grass mix. Our agronomist has wanted us to get this product applied for a while. This is all about maximising the natural biology in the rootzone on the greens.

This product has several advantages,; it helps firm up the surface of the greens in the thatch layer, at this time of year manages to hold onto any moisture for a longer period and towards the end of the year when all the rain arrives manages to disperse any moisture as quickly as possible. The bent seed mix has been applied to encourage more bent grass on the greens.

This may have caused some short term pain but we are confident will cause long term gain.
