Course News

Firstly a warm welcome to a new member of the greenkeeping team; welcome to Matt. Look out for him when you are on the course.

We are glad that the weather is improving. The sun is out and long may this continue. It makes the wet weather seem a long and distant memory. The average annual rainfall at the golf club is about 712mm. Last year we have had about 741mm and over 400mm of that has come since the start of September! The team have done an amazing job to keep the course open and playable as much as they did.

The drainage areas has been turfed and fertilized. The surrounds have also received an application of fertilizer.

The trees have been pruned and old tree stumps have been removed and tidied over.

Mowing is now in full swing. Its nice to see the stripes in the fairways.

Bunker work continues. Currently working on the 3rd fairway bunker, just past the gap in the hedge and hopefully move onto the 6th bunker nearest the green next.
