Bar Closure Week Commencing 11th November- Temporary bar in operation

Our clubhouse refurbishment is progressing well. A job like this relies on lots of different sub contractors- we have encountered some delays along the way and the work has highlighted some problems which we have addressed, but I think everyone can get an idea now of what the completed project will look like. We are well on the way with the decorating/ some of the feature wall paper is up/ new lights going up/ new crockery has been ordered.

Week commencing 4th November– the correct bar serving window will be fitted and the aluminium cladding will be fitted around the outside of the building. The new honours board is due be fitted. New settees are due to be delivered.

Week commencing 11th November– the bar will be closed so that this area can be worked. During this time we will have a temporary bar, with a reduced bar menu, at the end of the Clee Room. We will try and get this work done as quickly as possible.

Week commencing 25th November- The bar floor will be screeded ready for the Karndean flooring to be laid. There may be a chance that at the end of that week that the carpet will be fitted, if not the carpet will be fitted on Monday 2nd December.

Following the delay with the new furniture, this is all well in hand- the chairs/ tables/ coffee tables/ plant boxes are all being sprayed as we speak. The chairs will then be with the upholsterers. The plan is for all the furniture to be here by mid/ late November.

Some of you will have seen trenches appearing across the car park and around the clubhouse. This is us getting ready for our new electricity supply to come onto site. National Grid will be here from Monday 25th November for about 5 days. The lane will be closed, but on the south side of our entrance. Access to the golf club won’t be restricted from the Stourport Road direction. Once this new supply is in, this will then enable us to go ahead with the solar installation. This installation is planned for January 2025.
