The first Club Night of 2018 was a very successful one! With nearly 20 players taking part in the fun 9 hole competition around 4pm before the night it was a hotly contested 9 holes in weather terms as well. The sun shine brightly on the afternoon as players battled it out using a stableford points system where each player chose gold, silver & bronze holes. Gold would be quadruple points, silver triple and bronze double. The eventual winner was John Harris with 68 points who pipped Robert Carr's 66 point total, John was a awarded a sleeve on Titleist golf balls as a prize.
Onto the evening and it was time to go and consume a well earned meal for the 9 hole players as well as evening visitors. The restaurant laid on a magnificent curry buffet spread which was warmly received by all in the clubhouse.
It was then time for the important part, the jackpot draw! First out the hat for £50 was Richard Barker, who unfortunately was not in attendance, so this will rollover to £60 for the next Club Night!
Second out the hat for the maximum £300 was Keith Riman who was not in attendance either so once again, £300 will be up for grabs next Club Night!
We will hold our next Club Night on Friday 18th May where once again the 2 jackpots will be there to win as well as evening meal for those who want to eat and the 9 hole fun competition with another exciting format.
Thank you too all those who attended and every member of staff who helped including Pete Woodman who did an exceptional job organising the afternoon golf and jackpot draw.
