Laying of the new turf as pictured is imminent, but its been waiting in our yard until the weather improves and conditions are suitable for laying it.
As previously stated, the new tee will enhance the hole by providing better angles of play. We have also removed a tree on the “tiger-line” to help establish the shape of the dogleg. Our course design and objective has always been to offer a quality golfing experience for all. This includes the “risk and reward” challenge when, like Rory, you take the cover off of the big stick on the tougher holes. Only the very biggest hitters can reach the 3rd in two. Success of the short cut also offers the opportunity to use a short iron approach to the green for your third and hopefully a shorter putt for birdie. This also reduces the risk of balls being hit onto or over the lane which runs alongside the hole.
